Pack with Microsoft High Definition Audio UAAV1.0a(5013) For Windows 2000 SP4, XP SP1, XP SP2, Server 2003 SP1. It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available. Do not forget to check with our site as often as possible in order to stay updated on the latest drivers, software and games. Please set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed a wrong driver.
Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer. #5381572 Posted on: 05:32 PM For those with the ALC1150 chipset like I have on my Asus Maximus VII Hero I just downloaded and installed these drivers (due to the reports here saying the drivers linked in the original post did not contain ALC1150 compatible drivers). 'Realtek HD-Audio-Treiber R2.81 (Windows Vista/7/8/10, 64 Bit)' In device manager I went to 'Sound, video and game controllers' and uninstalled the 'Realtek High Definition Audio' device and restarted Win10. I extracted the above package with 7zip and ran the setup (you could probably just run the downloaded exe, I like to see whats in the package first), it installed the drivers, another restart and all is working fine.

Manually switching the output to Wave works as well as going into the Directsound output module and switching from Primary Sound Driver to Realtek.
This is with SPDIF out BTW if that helps. So far there have been no problems with movies, video players, games, etc. What version of Winamp are you using? I am using 'Winamp v5.55 - 10th Anniversary Edition'. It's my favorite haha// ohh.
Spdif, I'm not using that. Before installing these new Realtek drivers I uninstalled the previous through Windows Device Manager, then did a driver clean of the old ones using Driver Fusion by Treexy 'in safe mode', then a registry clean with ccleaner, then installed the new ones. These drivers are THICC.
I been using the 7614 that I unlocked and will continue to do so if it anit broke dont change it, especially when it comes to realtek and there questionable drivers Nothing questionable about them except for not allowing us access to certain features unless we have a certain mobo, despite the hardware being capable. Other than that. I've never had an issue. Just always make sure to not let the Realtek Audio thingy run on startup as it doesn't do anything at all and is not required for fucntionality.
#5381821 Posted on: 07:26 PM For those who experience 'error problems' during installation (especially in Win 10 64bit): -thoroughly and completly uninstall the previous driver: 1. Regular procedure, 2. Driver sweeper, 3. Reboot -do NOT try to install the driver by launching 'xxxxR281.exe'. Extract it to some temp folder using 7ZIP or WinRAR or a similar tool.
I repeat: do NOT run that xxxxxxR281.exe, but rather extract all FILES and folder(s) that are contained within (this xxxxR281.exe is actually a compressed self-executive chain of files + a folder). So, extract all the files (and the folder) into the aforementioned temp. Browse the extracted files until you locate the 'setup.exe'. #5463774 Posted on: 07:03 PM I installed the latest driver, 2.82 and I had the 2.81. My mic wasn't detecting my voice only if I put in in front of my mount.I uninstalled it, and than I saw that Microsoft have a driver even for Realtek soundcards.
And it was pretty new, from iul, so i gived a try, and man, it's awesome! Don't really recommend using the new 2.82, i love driver updates, but damn. This one have something.
Realtek is one of the 'best' driver releaser (they released a driver for win me or 98 in 2010 for a specific thing xd). They release drivers for everything, Linux, mac, dos, etc Btw, guru3d sais last update support Windows vista and xp. While realtek website say only 7+.
